How to Have a Long and Happy Relationship?

Lately, I want to know how to have a long and happy relationship. I asked my friends about it and they answered with various answers. And then, Anggarra, my best buddies, sent me this E-Mail. I laughed so hard when I read it. He got his point.

“How to have a long and happy relationship, abang?” you asked me with your pale face in our video call.

I didn’t know why you asked me that question last night. And when I asked you about the reason, you just said, “I’m curious. That’s all.”. You know what, Ree, I thought you’re afraid. You’re afraid of many things.

Just be yourself, Ree. You never know how beautiful you are. Just be yourself and everything gonna be okay. You want to have a long and happy relationship, right? You gonna have it. Believe me. Just don't worry about anything. Don't worry about your chubby cheeks. Don't worry about your weight. Let someone love you just the way you are. If a man really loves you, he going to accept you no matter how chubby you are.

I know how hard your relationship before. But you've truly moved on, haven't you? So, forget about the past time. Forget about him (you know who I mean). Forget about anything that makes you afraid. I saw you when you were down, many times, and I listened to your cries. When your eks cheated on you. When he ignored you like you never exists. When you always said, “It’s okay. You can come back to me whenever you want.” to him, but inside, you broken into pieces. I’ve been there, know you from the beginning ‘till now.

So when the last night you asked me such a question, I wondering, “Are you losing hold of your confident? Are you okay?”

Ree, just never doubt about yourself. Remember the times my mom told you that you have such a good heart. She loves you so much. Since the first time you came to my house as my girlfriend till you came only as my best friend, she still loves you. She loves you as her own daughter. My mother never accepted other girls like she did on you. One day, when you and I still as lovers, she said to me that you deserve someone better. Because she saw me drunk and slept all the day. (See? Mom thought that I, his own son, not good enough for you? You really had bewitched her.)

And for me, you as my best friend is never enough. We’ve been in a romantic relationship, and friendship and PHP-ship. I know you since you were just a moody girl who really stubborn until you change into a woman who understands life well. I still want to be with you, you know it really well. But you gave me your final answer and I know, even if I trying harder than I did before, that answer never gonna changes into good one. I proposed you last year, and you said no without hesitation. And I still laugh hard when I remember that moment. You really stubborn.

So when we back to your question again, I asked myself, “I gave this woman opportunity to have a long and happy relationship, she refused it. And now, she asked me why she didn't have one?”

God dammit, you need your mirror, my lady. (I know you gonna punch me in my chest when we meet next time. Peace!)

Anyway, Mom says hello and she misses you so much. But I told her that I say many times that I miss you so damn much, but you just looked at me with your plain face without any reactions. You have really a cool heart (sadly, just with me). Okay, I just your best friend. Understood, ma'am!
